01 — What it is

The service, in plain English.

Most businesses end up with 15–40 SaaS tools by year three. Some are overlapping. Some are barely used. Nobody can explain what half of them do. Meanwhile, the team works around the stack instead of with it.

Custom Tech Stack Design is for companies ready to take the whole thing apart and rebuild it properly. We audit every tool, every subscription, every workflow. We identify tools that can be cut. We design a lean, integrated stack around your actual business needs. Then we migrate, integrate, and launch — with full team change management.

This is our most intensive engagement. Clients typically achieve meaningful SaaS cost savings, recover significant productivity time, and end up with a stack that actually scales. We take on a limited number of these engagements at a time because they're intensive — but the transformation is thorough.

02 — Who it's for

This is built for you if...

  • You have 20+ SaaS tools and no map of what they all do
  • Monthly SaaS bill is significant and you suspect a large share is waste
  • Your team uses 5 tools to do what should be 1 workflow
  • New hire onboarding takes weeks because of tool sprawl
  • You're post-Series A and ready to put real systems under the business
  • You're acquiring / merging companies and need to consolidate stacks
  • You've realized your team is 'working around' tools instead of working with them

07 — FAQ

Quick answers.

How long does a full stack overhaul take?
+
8–16 weeks depending on company size and complexity. We break it into 3 phases — audit/design (3–4 weeks), migration (4–8 weeks), adoption/hypercare (4 weeks). Some tools migrate in parallel.
Will this disrupt our business?
+
Managed properly, disruption is minimal. We migrate in phases, maintain old systems in parallel during transitions, and do extensive testing before cutover. Communication with your team throughout is critical — we handle that.
Can you save us money in contract negotiations?
+
Often yes. We have relationships with vendors and know market rates. For clients with a meaningful monthly SaaS spend, we can often help consolidate contracts to reduce cost. Actual savings depend on current contracts and negotiations.
What if our team resists the change?
+
This is the hardest part and we plan for it from day one. We involve team leads in the design process. We train early and repeatedly. We keep old tools available during transition. And we make the new stack genuinely easier to use — resistance drops quickly once people see the workflow improvements.
Who owns the stack after you leave?
+
You do, entirely. We hand over complete documentation, admin access, negotiated contracts, and training materials. Most clients continue on a monthly retainer for ongoing optimization — but that's optional, not required.
